Roco Kingdom Beta FAQ: Dates, Platforms and Access

Roco Kingdom beta facts: Quack Quack Test dates, platforms, languages, invite rules, wipes and purchases, with official sources.

Last Updated: 2026-10-27

Quick answer: the global Quack Quack Test is a closed, invite-only beta that opened on October 27, 2026 on PC, Android and iOS, in English and Japanese. It is free to enter, has no purchases, and every account is wiped when the test ends. There is no open sign-up: access is tied to the account that received the invite, and the official FAQ says invitations depend on region, platform and device.

The confusing part is the start time. Steam's countdown and the official site both pointed at 04:30 UTC, while the written FAQ says 02:00 UTC. Treat 02:00 UTC as the moment servers are scheduled to open and 04:30 UTC as the time the store page unlocks downloads; in practice the test opened in waves, so an invite can arrive hours after the scheduled start.

What the Quack Quack Test Is

Roco Kingdom is Tencent's open-world creature-collection RPG, developed by Morefun Studios and already live in China since March 26, 2026. The global test is the first time the English and Japanese builds have been playable outside China, and it is explicitly a test, not early access: progression is temporary, the build is under active development, and balance changes can land between sessions.

The test is not a demo. It uses the same client structure as the Chinese release, including the Jini collection loop, the open world, co-op play and the turn-based battles. What it does not include is the full live-service layer — no shop, no battle pass, no purchases of any kind.

Dates and Times

Milestone Date (UTC) Status
Sign-up window August 26 – October 20, 2026 Closed
Access confirmations From October 23, 2026 Sent by email
Servers open October 27, 2026, 02:00 UTC (FAQ) / 04:30 UTC (countdown) Live
Test end Not announced TBA

Tencent has not published an end date. Based on how the Chinese beta phases ran, expect several weeks rather than a weekend, but that is inference, not an official schedule. The FAQ only says the team will announce the end in advance in-game and on Steam.

Platforms and Languages

  • PC — Windows via the official launcher or Steam, depending on how the invite was issued
  • Android — Google Play, on devices that pass the compatibility check
  • iOS — TestFlight, which requires the Apple ID tied to the invited account
  • Not included — PlayStation 5, Xbox, Switch and Mac. Xbox has a store listing for a future release, but it is not part of this test.

The client supports English and Japanese only. Chinese is served by the separate mainland release, and there is no language toggle that adds other locales in the global build.

Access Rules People Get Wrong

  1. The invite is bound to one account. Sharing credentials, or logging in with a different email than the one that received the invite, produces an access error rather than a working session.
  2. Being registered for the newsletter is not the same as being invited. The confirmation email is the only proof of access.
  3. iOS invites cannot be redeemed on Android or PC. Platform choice was part of the application.
  4. A Steam key, if issued, is region-locked to the store region of the invited account.
No legitimate beta key sellers

Tencent does not sell beta access, and the FAQ states invitations cannot be transferred. Any listing offering a Quack Quack Test account is a scam or a stolen account.

Wipes, Purchases and Carry-Over

There are no purchases in the test, so there is nothing to refund and nothing to carry over. All Jini, items, levels, cosmetics and progress are deleted at the end. The only things that persist are account-level records such as survey participation and any rewards Tencent explicitly ties to the account rather than the save.

PC and mobile share progress during the test if both are linked to the same account, which makes switching devices safe. That sync is a test feature; Tencent has not confirmed it will work the same way at global launch.

What to Do If You Are Not In

The honest answer is that there is no queue to join. The test is closed, the sign-up form is shut, and extra keys are not being distributed through giveaways run by the official accounts. The practical options are:

  • Watch the official site and the Steam page for the next phase.
  • Keep the account you used for the survey, since future invitations are usually tied to it.
  • Use the wait to read up on the element chart and the Jini index, which do not require access.
