Roco Kingdom Pet Tier List: Best Jinies (Beta)
A provisional Roco Kingdom pet tier list for the beta: which Jinies carry early fights, which need investment, and how the ranking was built.
Quick answer: there is no official tier list, and the global beta does not expose a stat table, so any ranking is provisional. This pet tier list sorts the currently documented Jinies by role value in the beta: how early you can get them, how much of the 18-element chart they cover, whether their evolution line is reachable, and how much support they bring to a six-slot team. S-tier picks are the ones that stay useful without rare investment; C-tier picks are not bad, they simply need a team built around them.

The beta wipes. Nothing you build now carries to launch, and balance numbers are not public. Use this list to decide what to test, not what to commit to.
How This Tier List Was Built
Three rules keep the ranking honest:
- No invented numbers. If a base stat, growth rate or skill power is not published, it is not part of the score.
- Element coverage beats raw damage. The chart is symmetric — if Fire beats Flora, Flora beats Fire — so a team with three Fire Jinies folds to the same counter no matter how strong each one is.
- Availability counts. A strong Jini locked behind the endgame is worth less in a beta than a solid one you meet in the first province.
The result is a role ranking, not a damage ranking. A Jini in A tier is a good use of a slot; a Jini in S tier is one you can build around.
The Tier List
| Tier | Jinies | Why they sit here |
|---|---|---|
| S | Molimiao, Huohua, Dimo | Reliable early access, clear element identity, evolution line reachable in normal play |
| A | Shuilanlan, Miaomiao, Vargyr, Cerulla | Strong coverage or utility; need one specific partner to shine |
| B | Bobola, Maomao, Sparka, Meevy | Useful while leveling, but their role is easy to replace later |
| C | Duckiji and other showcase pets | Niche utility or unclear scaling; fun to test, hard to justify in a serious slot |
Treat the exact order inside a tier as a tie. The gap between S and A is smaller than the gap between A and C.
S Tier
Molimiao is the safest early investment in the Chinese build. It has a clear role, evolves on a normal curve, and does not demand a rare item to reach its final form. In a beta where you cannot farm endgame materials, that reliability is the whole point.
Huohua is the Fire line most players meet first. Fire is a broad offensive answer to Flora, Ice and Insect, and the symmetric chart means it also loses to those same elements — so Huohua wants a Water or Earth partner, not a second Fire. Its value is tempo: it ends early fights quickly, which matters when you are still unlocking systems.
Dimo is one of the six Jinies Tencent shows individually on the official site, and it is the only one with published dimensions (0.54–0.78 m, 5.5–7 kg). That marketing push usually signals a mascot-level role. In the beta it is a flexible early pick rather than a specialized carry.
A Tier
Shuilanlan is the Water counterpart to Huohua and the natural answer to Fire-heavy opponents. Water also checks Earth, which makes it a common second pick for players who started with a Fire Jini.
Miaomiao is the balanced classic starter: not the fastest kill, but rarely the wrong slot. It rewards players who want one Jini that can stay in the party while they experiment.
Vargyr and Cerulla are showcased Jinies with strong visual identities but less documented kit detail. They sit in A because their element coverage is useful on paper and because showcase Jinies tend to receive event support; they are not S because the beta has not shown enough to call them must-haves.
B Tier
Bobola, Maomao, Sparka and Meevy are perfectly usable. They are the Jinies you level while you wait for a better partner, and several of them have utility that becomes relevant in specific boss fights. The mistake is over-investing in all four at once instead of picking one to carry the early game.
C Tier
Duckiji is the clearest example of a showcase Jini whose combat role is still unclear. That does not make it bad — it makes it a beta experiment. If you like the design, build it; just do not expect it to solve a coverage hole on its own.
What Actually Moves a Jini Up
- Evolution access. A line that evolves with normal leveling beats one that needs a rare drop. See the evolution guide for the gates.
- Element fit. Two Jinies that share a weakness are one slot, not two. The type chart shows which pairs cover each other.
- Role scarcity. A healer or controller is harder to replace than a third damage dealer.
- Beta availability. A Jini you can test today teaches you more than one you can only read about.
Should You Reroll for an S-Tier?
No. The beta wipes, the opening hours are short, and the gap between an S-tier and an A-tier Jini is smaller than the gap between a player who understands the element chart and one who does not. If you already have Molimiao or Huohua, keep playing. If you have a B-tier start, use it to learn the map and save your reroll patience for launch.
The one exception is a player who wants to test a specific mechanic — breeding, a boss solo, a co-op role. In that case, pick the Jini that unlocks the test, not the one at the top of a community list.
FAQ
Is this tier list official? No. Tencent has not published a tier list, and the beta has no public stat table. This ranking is based on documented availability, element coverage and role scarcity.
Who is the best Jini in Roco Kingdom? For most beta players, Molimiao is the most reliable investment, with Huohua close behind for early tempo. Neither is a permanent answer, because the game is wiped and rebalanced.
Will the tier list change at launch? Almost certainly. New stats, moves and evolution items will reshuffle the order. The method — coverage, access, role — will stay useful even when the names move.
